An Oakdale workshop will provide those who have taken on the role of caregivers with tools they can use to avoid burnout.
The six-week ‘Powerful Tools for Caregivers’ series of sessions will provide attendees with actionable tips and other information they can use to take care of themselves. It will be taking place on Monday afternoons, and the registration fee is $60. Scholarships may be available for those in need of some financial assistance.
The program, which is evidence-based, will offer the attendees both tools and an opportunity to meet and connect with others who understand what they are going through. It may be helpful to those caring for family members or friends at home, in a care facility, or even across the country, and the participants will discuss topics ranging from self-care to how to communicate their own needs.
Anyone who feels this activity may be helpful to them is encouraged to register now, and the organizer can be reached at 651 789-4015. Promotional Pens, handouts, and other materials for a workshop or class can be sourced from area printers.
The series will run from August 8 to September 19, taking place every Monday during that period except for September 5. They will be held at 8121 4th Street North in Oakdale. The registration fee is $60.
