Residents of Oakdale and the surrounding communities will soon have a way to support local crafters, artisans and other makers.
The Art Discovery Fair will welcome anyone who would like to do some browsing and buying, and those who attend the pop-up market will find everything from handmade crafts to works of art. Many of the producers will be on site to meet the public, making it an event that shoppers won’t want to miss.
The event will run for five hours, and throughout the day, there will be lots to see and do. Items ranging from pottery and woodworking to paintings, jewellery and even photography will be featured. It can be a fun way to get a jump start on holiday gift buying, and to help build an exciting and festive atmosphere, live musical performances are also on the agenda.
This type of function can be very helpful to local makers, and ensuring that they are aware of when and when it will be taking place can play a big role in its success. The organizers noted that marketing materials will be posted closer to the date of the event, and these sorts of items can be obtained from area flyer printing companies.
This opportunity for Oakdale to support its artistic side will be on offer to the public on November 14th. It is scheduled to be held in the Discovery Center.
