Easter egg hunts have long been a springtime tradition in Oakdale, but 2022 will see a new twist on this popular activity.
Thanks to support from the Heartland Credit Union, area youth are about to be treated to an egg hunt after dark. There is no cost to get involved, and those who register should look for the IGH Firetruck that will be parked at the Rich Valley Athletic Complex to indicate where the function will be held.
Along with the search, Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation will be hosting a coloring contest. This is for the younger set, and both first and second place prizes will be presented to the contestants in various age levels. The completed entries need to be dropped off at the Community Center or the Heartland Credit Union by no later than April 9.
Creative community celebrations are often popular and can be made even more fun with assistance from a banner printing company. These establishments will be able to prepare everything from glow-in-the-dark decor to Corporate Gifts to present to contest winners, and it can all be custom designed for the occasion.
The Flashlight Egg Hunt has been scheduled for the evening of April 8, and the deadline to register is April 1. It will be held at the Rich Valley Athletic Complex.
