The Oakdale area is about to be treated to six days of family friendly excitement, as the annual Cottage Grove Fall Fun Fest is not far away.
The community has scheduled this annual celebration for the month of October, and there will be a schedule of activities each week. There are days set aside for some of the extra special offerings in the works, and the goal is to make the season less scary.
The list of attractions set up for the festival includes a no-scare tour of the haunted house, and there will be face painting and juggling. The Raptor Center, Snake Discovery and Carpenter Nature Center all have a day on the agenda and a pet costume contest and Dogs With Jobs presentation is also in the works. The schedule will draw to a close with a presentation by Pawsitive Perspective Service Dogs.
Many communities host fall events in the lead-up to Halloween. A flyer printing can prepare mailers to send out to area households to keep them informed about what is going on in their hometown so they can include it in their plans.
