Cultivating bonsai is a practice that combines artistry with horticulture, and an Oakdale area alternative to the typical Mother’s Day brunch will soon wow area moms.
The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory is preparing for its annual Minnesota Bonsai Society Show. The trees will be set up in the venue's Visitor Center, and some will be decades old.
The guests who come to this Mother's Day weekend activity will be able to view both hardwood and softwood bonsai, and a variety of growing Forms will be on display. Society members will be onsite to offer advice, answer questions, and share their knowledge, and the guests can register to join the group if they wish. The rest of the venue will be open as well.
Admission to this activity is free of charge, although donations will be gratefully accepted, as these will be used for upkeep and maintenance of the conservatory.
Special horticultural events may require specialized printing services. A printer will be able to use wide-format Print technology to prepare everything from Banners to signage Posters and other marketing materials.
The Minnesota Bonsai Society will be showing love to local moms with its annual Mother's Day Bonsai Show on May 13 and 14. Tickets to enjoy the experience can be purchased from the Society’s website, and ticketholders can enter from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
