Moonlight visits planned for Oakdale preserve

Oakdale families that would like to add some fun to their winter plans are welcome to strap on some snowshoes and hit the trails for an evening outing at Oakdale Nature Preserve in the new year.

The trails at the site provide a chance for some winter recreation, and a moonlight hike will offer a special perspective on the route. Snowshoes will be available for anyone who needs them, and everyone is advised to dress warmly and in layers, as snowshoeing can be strenuous at times.

The trail the registrants will follow will be lit by luminaries, and a bonfire will help keep everyone warm once they arrive back from their outing. Hot chocolate and other refreshments will be served, and the trail will remain open to visitors until late evening. The activity is open to all ages, although anyone who is 18 or younger needs to have an adult attend with them.

The registration fee for the activity is $25 per person. Material crafters by a flyer printing company can provide a cost-effective way to let the public know that a particular event is on offer in their area.

This moonlight visit to Oakdale Nature Preserve is scheduled for February 5th, 2021 and guests have until the day of the event to register. There are various timeslots to choose from, starting at 6:00 pm.
