Local initiative set up for Oakdales older adults

Oakdale area organization wants to help keep seniors in their own homes by offering a little assistance this month.

The Good Samaritan Society, which operates Heritage Place of Roseville, has organized a program that will give seniors and caregivers information they can use to help make their home a safe place to be. These tips can be useful both now and in the future, and they will also include details about making the decision to move on to assisted living.

Those who would like to take advantage of the initiative can pick up their information kit, which will be filled with Brochures, Promotional Products and other materials. If needed, these can be mailed out to anyone who requests them. Those who are interested have been asked to call 651-489-3293.

Along with the information packages, the community will be hosting tours of Heritage Place, and these are available both in-person or online. Anyone who takes part will have their name entered in a draw to win a Target gift card valued at $50.

This chance to learn more about the options for older adults that can be found in and around Oakdale will begin on Monday, January 18. The virtual or in-person tours will run from January 18 to January 29. As spaces are limited, those interested are asked to reserve their spot by calling 651-489-3293 or emailing rnemitz@good-sam.com.
