Literacy event on offer for Oakdale families

An Oakdale event may just help put young people’s feet on the road to a lifelong delight in the written word.

The Free Family Book Fair that will be on offer to families at the West 7th Community center gym will connect parents and kids with a variety of literature, stressing that it is never too early to enjoy reading. For many, one of the best parts will be that each child, from toddlers to teens, will be able to select up to five Books to take home and enjoy.

As well as the Books, the guests at the function will have a chance to flex their creative muscles at one of the crafting stations, and there will also be an assortment of games and other activities. Snacks will be served.

Hosting a function of this kind is one way an organization can boost local literacy levels in a fun way. A poster printing company can aid in spreading the word to area families, offering items that suit the budget of the even organizers.

The West 7th Community Center in St.Paul will be welcoming the public for this activity on November 19, and families will be there between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm on the day of the celebration. More details about the function have been added to its online listing.
