Minneapolis's American Swedish Institute holds signature cocktail party
The American Swedish Institute will be presenting Cocktails at the Castle a signature adults' only museum party coming to Minneapolis in mid-September.
The museum's FIKA Cafe will offer curated Nordic-inspired cocktails, craft beer and custom event-themed festival bites.
Top local bands Ahndenet with Genet Abate, Fanaka Nation, Obi Original & the Black Atlantics, and L.A. Buckner & Big Homie will be the evening's entertainment. Demonstrations and interactive art will include fine arts, screen printing, graffiti, make and take crafts and a wreck-it room. Other activates will include Luchador wrestling, axe throwing and real permanent tattoos.
Guests may view the museum's current exhibits including Salad Hilowle: Inscriptions while enjoying the interior and grounds of the Twin Cities' only castle.
Museums like this often have professional photographers take pictures during events and have the photos taken to local print shops to be added to the following year's promotional brochure printing.
Admission will be $45 for members and $50 for non-members. VIP tickets will be $100 and will include reserved parking, a special craft activity, one complimentary beverage and access to the Mansion Veranda's VIP lounge.
This year's Cocktails at the Castle will take place from 5:15 pm to 11:00 pm Friday, September 12th at the American Swedish Institute's historic Turnblad Mansion and grounds at 2600 Park Avenue. Valid ID will be required for entry.
