The Royal Canadian International Circus will be coming to Minneapolis in mid-April.
Audiences will be treated to flying trapeze artists, multiple riders in the Motorcycle Globe of Death, high-wire artists, quick-change illusionists, hula hoop artistry, balance and juggling acts, unicyclists, and clowns.
The performance will begin with a parade, followed by an intermission of 15 or 20 minutes during which there will be photo opportunities, concessions, and souvenir stands. The second act will be another 45 to 55 minutes, putting the performance running time from 90 to 120 minutes. Matinee shows tend to be a little shorter than evening performances.
The circus will be in a traditional European yellow red and tent that can seat up to 2,500 spectators. Seating zones are divided into Preferred ($40 to $55), Ringside ($60 to $92), and General Admission ($25 to $35). The sound system is a modern LED rig with surround sound, and lighting will include moving spotlights to follow the aerial acts. No animals will be involved in the show, and the staging will wrap around the audience.
Shows will be weekdays at 7:30 pm; Saturdays at noon, 4:00 pm, and 7:30 pm; and Sundays at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Big circuses like this use local Print shops for their printing needs like tickets, Posters, and paper goods.
The Royal Canadian Circus will be at the Mall of America, American Boulevard and 24th Avenue, Bloomington from April 10 through 19.
