Female chefs are changing the landscape of the culinary world, and their efforts will be showcased during an afternoon event coming up near Brooklyn Park.
The fundraiser, which has been dubbed ‘Dame It! 2019’, has been organized by Les Dames d’Escoffier’s Minnesota chapter. It will give the public an opportunity to meet the women who are bringing their skills and creativity to the industry, all while supporting the next generation of female and other chefs.
The guests at the function will be invited to sample the many different small-bite dishes that will be on offer, and there will also be craft mocktails and cocktails and sweets to try. The popular ‘Wall of Wine’ will be back to give attendees a chance to win a bottle of vino, as will the ‘Dame It!’ wheel, cake walk, and silent auction.
The proceeds from the function will be used to support a variety of local causes, including Urban Roots, scholarships, and micro-grants for those who work in the food service industry.
