Farm-to-table fundraiser to get help young people get growing

Working with their hands to grow food for themselves and others can give youth a sense of purpose, encouraging them to take pride in their efforts. A local organization provides just such an opportunity, and a fundraiser has been planned in support of this cause.

Youth Farm, which operates in the Brooklyn Park area, will be welcoming guests for its Taste of the Farm fundraiser this September. Several of the area’s leading chefs will transform freshly harvested produce and other ingredients into a variety of dishes, and dessert will be included on the menu.

While the attendees enjoy their food and mingling with one another, they will be invited to sample beers and wines. Youth Farm leaders will offer garden tours, which will showcase the efforts of the organization. A live auction and raffle have also been planned, and there will be lots of foodie-themed activities and experiences up on the auction block.

By offering the public a chance to learn about the work it does in the community, and event like this can give an organization a way of raising both funds and awareness about the cause. A printing services company can work closely with the planners, offering everything from themed decor to table cards, Menus, programs, name tags for the staff and volunteers and swag for all of the guests.

Tickets for this year’s Taste of the Farm fundraiser for Youth Farm start at $120. The evening will be on offer at La Doña Cervecería in Minneapolis.
