This March, Brooklyn Park residents are invited to join with thousands of others across the country who will be putting spoon to bowl in support of their neighbors in need of a helping hand.
An Empty Bowls fundraiser will give members of the public an easy way to help make sure everyone has food in their pantry and on their table. Guests at the function can enjoy a helping of soup or other bowl-friendly fare, and when they are done, they can go home with a full belly and a bowl to keep.
While the guests savor their soup, bread and beverage, they can enjoy the entertainment that’s on the agenda for the evening. The bowls will be decorated and donated by local artisans and others who want to support their community, and the proceeds that are collected will be donated to NEAR Food Shelves and PRISM, which are local not-for-profit organizations.
New Hope’s Robbinsdale Cooper High School will be welcoming the public for this fundraiser, and everyone is encouraged to attend. A banner printing company can be contacted before an event like this to supply Banners and other materials that can aid in making the fundraiser a big success.
March 17 will see this annual fundraiser return to the Brooklyn Park area for its 10th year. The soup will be served from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
