Organization to host family conference in Bloomington

The TUBB3 Foundation will hold an event in July at the Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington.

The TUBB3 Foundation Family Conference is a multiday informative program where participants can have fun while learning about those with the TUBB3 gene. Several professionals will be speaking at the event, such as Dan Doherty, Jess Ronne, and Rosie Valentine. The discussions at the conference will educate caretakers about TUBB3 variants and provide guests with helpful tools and pointers for handling people with the condition.

Founded by Heather Dirks in 2017 due to a lack of information or support for families with members who had the TUBB3 gene, the vice president of TUBB3 Foundation is Samantha Cottrell. The foundation’s mission is to raise awareness for the condition through research and advocacy. People can help the organization by sharing their personal TUBB3 stories with others online and by donating money to the foundation. The association also sells branded merchandise to help support its causes, such as hoodies, tote Bags, and masks.

The family conference will take place from Tuesday, July 18 to Thursday, July 20. People interested in staying at the Great Wolf Lodge for the event can pay $135 per night. The program’s registration cost is $25 per person or $50 per family. Foundations that coordinate conferences like this may offer Promotional Products as gifts to their attendees.
