The Midwest Country Music Organization will be holding an open-jam session in July at the Everett McClay VFW Post in Bloomington.
Musicians and singers interested in joining a public performance can take part in the Country Open-Jam. The event is hosted by Joe Flip, an experienced performer who was a three-time nominee for the Midwest CMO Awards, and winner of the MN Road to Memphis Blues Challenge. The organizers of the jam session will provide a bass rig, drum set, guitar amp, and vocal mikes. All performers must bring their own instruments to take part in the event.
The Midwest Country Music Organization is a non-profit that was founded in 2017 to create a thriving country music community through a network of businesses, fans, and musicians. Several performers are promoted by the group, including Tyler Herwig, Matt Graunke, and the Pat Watters Band. People can join the organization to access special radio programs, artist-hosted events, and the group’s award show weekend.
The public jam session will be held on Sunday, July 31 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to perform during the event, and no advance registration is needed to play at the venue. Interested musicians can sign up in person at the venue’s stage. Non-profit organizations in charge of musical activities like this may use brochure printing to promote their programs to attendees.
