Bloomington locals can attend a virtual discussion held by the Hennepin County Library that features the legendary explorer Will Steger.
Talk of the Stacks With Will Steger and Rita Mae Steger is a program presented by the Friends of the Hennepin County Library. During the broadcast, Will and Rita Mae Steger will discuss their new book titled The Steger Homestead Kitchen with their co-author Beth Dooley. After the conversation, viewers of the webinar will get to ask the special guests questions. Libraries that coordinate broadcasts similar to this may share their programs with others via flyer printing.
Will Steger is the founder of the Climate Generation organization and has starred in the film After Antarctica. He even led the first dogsled journey to the North Pole in 1986 without resupplying. Steger has written multiple Books, such as Over the Top of the World, North to the Pole, and Saving the Earth. The man has received awards, like the Explorers Club’s Finn Ronne Memorial Award. He also co-founded the Center for Global Environmental Education.
The webinar will be held on Thursday, February 24th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost for library patrons to attend the broadcast, though all participants must register. People can register for the event through the Friends of the Hennepin County Library event page or directly on Zoom.Get a Free Quote for Books
