Bloomington youth choir to hold summer camp

A local youth choir program will be offering a day camp in July at the Bloomington Center for the Arts.

Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs Summer Day Camps are a week-long experience for kids who love to sing. The activity is open to girls and boys and will be split into two age groups. During the camps, attendees will play music-themed games, sing, and make friends with fellow campers. Each participant can explore their vocal potential during the program and increase their confidence when singing. No auditions are necessary to take part in the day camp.

The Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs initially began in 1980 as the Bloomington Children’s Choir. The organization consists of multiple groups, including the Treble Singers, Cantanti Singers, and Prep Choir Class. Local musicians direct each choir, and many of the singers rehearse weekly at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. People can help the non-profit music organization provide singing lessons to children by donating online.

The summer day camps will be held from July 18 22 for students in grades 2-5, and from July 25 to 29 for kids in grades 6-8. Each session at the choir camp lasts from 9:00 am to noon. The experience will cost $99 per child. Groups offering musical experiences similar to this can use Print shops to make Signs that advertise their camps to families.
