The Northwestern Health Sciences University’s (NWHSU) Chiropractic Alumni Association will be holding a charitable event this September in Bloomington.
The Spinal Sprint 5K Walk, Run, Family Fun is an athletic event where attendees will meet at Normandale Park to help raise money to benefit the university. Each participant will get a racing bib, T-shirt, and a swag bag filled with items from the event sponsors. Runners will also be entered to win prizes. Once the race is finished, people can join the event’s after-party to discover fitness and health-related information, and play family games.
The Chiropractic Alumni Association is a nonprofit group that continues to support the NWHSU after graduation. The organization sponsors networking events and seminars, while also awarding current students with scholarships. The association has helped improve the campus by purchasing equipment for locations such as the Greenawalt Library and the Alumni House. Print shops can assist organizations like this by marketing their events to students.
The 5K will be held on September 19 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Those who wish to partake in the 5K can pay $30, while children can participate in a kids run for $10. There will also be a virtual 5K that people can join for $30. Non-runners who want to enter the after-party must pay $5. People can also donate to the association online to show their support.
