Bloomington to have bariatric education day

The Radisson Blu Mall of America will be hosting an educational event this March that teaches healthcare professionals about customizing obesity treatments for improved living.

The Bariatric Education Day is an event where national and local presenters will lead discussions that teach guests about various topics related to impacting patient outcomes. This year, the keynote speaker for the event will be Paul Batalden. Other presenters who will be featured include Jamy Ard, Angela Fitch, and Luke Laffin. The event is provided by the University of Minnesota Medical School and the university’s department of surgery.

There will be many presentations that attendees can join that cover subjects such as customizing surgical procedures to patients, understanding clinical responses to obesity treatment strategies, and the new advancements made in bariatric research. The educational event will include a continental breakfast, lunch, and multiple refreshment breaks throughout the day. Organizations that hold informational gatherings like this can use poster printing for advertising the event at local hospitals and medical facilities.

The Bariatric Education Day will be held on Thursday, March 19 and will cost $300 for physicians and medical industry professionals. Other healthcare professionals can pay $200 to attend the presentations. Anybody who is a resident or student can have their fees waived for the event. The venue will provide complimentary parking to those who are attending the Bariatric Education Day.
