Bloomington seminar to teach child intervention techniques

The PESI® organization will hold a seminar in December at the Courtyard by Marriott in Bloomington.

“Self-Regulation Interventions for Children & Adolescents: Reduce Frustration, Emotional Outbursts & Oppositional Behaviors” is a full-day seminar where people can learn strategies for properly handling children with challenging behaviors. The lessons can be used by several kinds of professionals, such as counselors, teachers, social workers, and nurses. The hands-on activities and discussions at the event will teach attendees how to reduce the frequency and duration of tantrums and emotional outbursts.

The main speaker for the event is Laura Ehlert, a woman with over 25 years of experience as a child clinical psychologist. Her practice is in Burnsville, Minnesota, and she has worked with thousands of youths. Ehlert is also a member of the Minnesota Psychological Association and has a doctorate in clinical psychology. She teaches people how to intervene with the behavioral dysregulation of kids with learning disabilities and sensory processing disorders.

The seminar will be held on Friday, December 15th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Tickets to the event will cost $269.99, though people will receive a discount if they register before November 25th. Those who attend the live training can purchase a recording of the event for $49.99. Organizations in charge of seminars such as this can use brochure printing to provide guests with event schedules.
