A local educational institution is opening its art galleries and museums next month, and families are invited to tour the campus and exhibits.
The Cranbrook Academy of Art will hold an open house for prospective students and their families to tour the campus and learn more about the educational opportunities. The event is the only time during the year when Sylvan Lake residents can enter the campus and explore the studios. It will also allow guests to purchase artwork from students.
After viewing the art on display, attendees will be granted access to the Cranbrook Academy Art Museum and Institute of Science. The event is geared towards families and children of all ages, with several kid-friendly learning activities being held during the open studio event. Brochure printing is a fine way to share information about the museum and exhibits with guests at events like this.
Attendees will also have access to free, self-guided Cranbrook House and Gardens tours. Food trucks and vendors will be on site at the open studio, ensuring attendees have snacks and refreshments at the venue.
The Cranbrook Academy of Art will host the open studio on Saturday, April 20, beginning at 1:00 PM and ending at 5:00 PM. Tickets are free, and interested parties can reserve a spot via the Eventbrite listing.
