A talented singer and songwriter from Michigan has planned a performance in Sylvan Lake for next month, and area music lovers are invited to attend the show.
The Sylvan Table is preparing to present Julianne Ankley, a local talent from Port Huron, for a tour shop and performance in town. Ankley will be performing solo on acoustic guitar, singing several of her top songs. She has an impressive track record, winning 15 Detroit Music Awards during her illustrious career.
Her top accolades include winning the Outstanding Country Vocalist and Outstanding Country Recording at the 2021 Detroit Music Awards. Her single, “What Makes You Dance,” recently won the Best Americana Single/Performance at the 2025 award show. Many of her songs carry the tones of the music Ankley grew up listening to, including Motown, blues, and country. Poster printing is a classic way to promote such shows and concerts to residents.
Ankley will perform her songs in a fireside setting, ensuring an intimate listening experience that captures the essence of autumn in Sylvan Lake. In addition to her many songs, the artist will also share stories of growing up and living in Michigan.
The Sylvan Table will host the musical performance, which is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22. The show will start at 6:00 PM, though guests are welcome to arrive earlier. Admission is free.
