A unique competition is coming to the Sylvan Lake area next month, with area residents competing against each other.
The Waterford Jigsaw Puzzle Competition is preparing to open its doors to registered competitors and spectators who want to put their skills to the test in a timed competition. The competition will pit teams of four players against each other to determine which team can complete the 500-piece puzzle the quickest.
Each team will receive the same puzzle to ensure a fair competition, and the event will be open to all interested parties 18 and older. Players who do not have a team can register with an individual ticket, with teams being assembled from the pool of individual enrollees. Flyer printing is an effective grassroots marketing technique to raise awareness about such competitions around the town.
Players will be allowed to keep the puzzle at the competition’s conclusion. Unwanted puzzles will be donated to the local library, and all funds generated by the competition will be donated to Fueling Kids’ Futures of Waterford with the goal of providing nutritious food to children in need in the area.
The competition will be held at 3882 Highland Road in nearby Waterford on Saturday, April 26th, starting at noon and ending at 3:00 PM. The doors will open at 11:30 AM. Individual tickets are $12 per player.
