An acclaimed local golf tournament is in the works for the Sylvan Lake area next month, and interested golfers and spectators are invited to attend.
The Golf Ribbon Classic Golf Tournament is around the corner, providing all attendees with an opportunity to make a difference. The tournament has its origins in Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which began when Alexandra Scott started a lemonade stand to raise money for cancer research after being diagnosed. Her goal was to find money to create a cure for all children with a similar affliction.
The ALSF is partnering with Northwestern Mutual Metro Detroit to continue Alex’s legacy through the Gold Ribbon Classic. Attendees can help raise funds to combat child cancer, adding to the $200 million raised and 1,000 research projects. Flyer printing can spread the word around the Sylvan Lake area to raise awareness of an event and its goals.
The event organizers are searching for sponsors for the golf tournament, with sponsorship including an opportunity for golfers to play while raising brand awareness. Golfers will get to play 18 holes and enjoy time with like-minded individuals in the outdoors.
The Oakland Hills Country Club will host the golf tournament on Tuesday, September 3rd, starting at 11:00 AM. Sponsorship packages start at $500, and interested parties can register to sponsor a part of the event online.
