JJ Cardinal’s Wild Bird and Nature Store in collaboration with Help Heal Veterans is hosting a special two-day event this November in honor of Veterans Day.
Since 1971, Help Heal Veterans has provided active-duty military individuals and veterans with free craft kits. Their therapeutic kits serve as a valuable tool for treating conditions like PTSD, depression, and anxiety, while also aiding in pain relief and improving motor skills. JJ Cardinal’s on the other hand is a store that offers bird care products, and unique gifts. They also promote appreciation for nature by blending imagination, gardening, and art.
The event will start with a welcome meeting, including coffee and refreshments. Following the welcome, participants will dive into various projects, using all the supplies provided. Veterans and their relatives will try their hand at leatherworking, painting, woodworking, and cardmaking. These projects aim to promote creativity and provide a space for veterans to connect in a supporting, community-focused environment.
