Spring is right around the corner in Fenton, and area residents who wish to learn more about the natural world around them are encouraged to sign up for a workshop.
The Michigan Wild Plants workshop has opened registration for a day of learning with like-minded individuals. The workshop will focus on the wild plants that are native to the state and the different ways that students can use them to harness their health benefits. The course instructor will demonstrate the different ways that attendees can identify these plants.
Students will also gain a new appreciation for the abundant vegetation in Michigan, including the flowers and vegetation that grow in their yard at home. The learning session will be held indoors, providing registered guests with a comfortable break from the weather. Brochure printing can be used to provide additional information related to the workshop’s subject and display an outline of the event’s agenda.
Plant samples and photos of plants that are native to Michigan will be available for attendees to examine and pass around, helping them become more familiar with the characteristics and health benefits of each. Organizers are encouraging interested parties to make reservations early to ensure a good seat.
The class is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 15th. It will be hosted by Hawthorn & Violet Herbal Apothecary in Fenton. Registration is $25 online, and preregistration is required to participate.
