Autumn road race challenges Fenton runners
An autumn-themed road race is being organized in Fenton for next month, bringing top distance runners from around the area together to test their mettle.
The 53rd Annual Applefest Road Race, which is part of the St. John Applefest, is plotting a course and opening registration soon, and runners of all ages and experience levels are invited to sign up. Interested parties will have four event options to choose from based on their fitness level and preference. The Road Race will entail a 5K run, 5K walk, a 1-mile run, and a ¼-mile children’s fun run.
The chosen course for this year’s Applefest Road Race will take participants through Fenton’s neighborhoods, with the path being 100% flat and paved for the best running or walking experience. Banner printing is an excellent way to welcome participants to the finish line upon completing their chosen event, while also providing space to display the event’s sponsors.
After registering, the event’s packet will be available for pickup at the St. John Catholic School on Thursday, September 11th, or Friday, September 12th. Parking will be available on the school’s grounds on the day of the race. Upon the race’s conclusion, a pancake breakfast will be held.
Runners will begin at 7:00 AM on Saturday, September 13th, in front of the St. John Catholic Church in Fenton. Registration is open online.
