Which chefs will reign victorious in Veggie Showdown?

The Clawson area is home to a thriving community of culinary artists, and this spring, they will be going head-to-head in a competition that will showcase their skills when it comes to preparing veggie-based dishes.

This food fight will see two teams of two chefs throw down in the cooking arena, and the winner will be determined by both a panel of judges and the diners themselves. They will prepare a meal with four courses, and this is just the start of excitement the evening will offer.

Along with the food, the guests will be invited to sip a craft cocktail and sample the wine pairings that have been selected to pair with the different dishes. Local talent will supply the entertainment, and there will even be a pop-up art gallery featuring the works of Desiree Kelley. Diners can bid on items in the silent auction, and Guilt Chocolates will supply some sweet treats to round off the meal.

This event is only open to people who are at least 21 years of age, and individual tickets start at $140 each. Decor for this type of function can be both designed and crafted by a banner printing company.

The Veggie Showdown will be taking over the Great Lakes Culinary Center in Southfield on April 27. It will run from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
