Clawson has a summer celebration on deck that will see classic cars and other vehicles roll in for a special show and shine.
The Clawson Lions Club has set the date for its Down on Main Street Car Show, and it's scheduled for one week before the well-known Dream Cruise. It will be taking over Main Street, and while they enjoy themselves, the crowd will be helping raise money for community service projects.
The annual car show will be a high octane gathering, and vehicles from a variety of years will be on display. Classic, collector and custom cars will all be on hand, and there will be lots of community spirit. This will be the 28th year for the celebration, and the activity will run from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The function is a signature fundraiser for the Clawson Lions Club and supports programs such as its Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Car shows may attract serious gear heads as well as those who simply appreciate the craftsmanship often found in vintage vehicles. Print shops that can supply in-house graphic design options can readily prepare bespoke items such as dash plaques, trophies and custom awards.
The 2026 Down on Main Street Car Show will roll into Clawson on August 8th. It will be set up on Main Street south of 14 Mile Road.
