Full STEAM ahead at Clawson library

The Ford STEAM Lab from Detroit, Michigan is scheduled to visit the Blair Memorial Library in Clawson, Michigan later this month.

Ford STEAM is a curriculum designed to prepare students for careers as Tech and STEM entrepreneurs. In it, students not only learn the business end of entrepreneurship, they also learn skills such as introductory coding and completion of mobile APP coding.

Ford STEAM and the Ford Fund are named after Henry Ford, who is famous for having started the assembly lines for vehicular production. He also helped to establish several schools. Ford Fund aims to promote the value of education in trade in his memory.

At the Blair Library, Ford STEAM aims to provide people of all ages with hands-on experiences in a variety of activities. These activities are related to science, art, math, and technology. The event will also incorporate its usual specialty of robotics, Lego, and coding. By doing so, Ford STEAM is using the event as one of its Promotional Products to introduce itself to residents of all ages in the city of Clawson.

The Ford STEAM event at the Blair Memorial Library is scheduled for September 22 from 10:00 am to 12:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break in between. Registration is free and begins on September 8. Anyone with questions can contact Jenni Gannod at 248-588-5500.
