The Lions Club is a community service organization that hosts events around the world, and its Clawson chapter will be offering area “gearheads” an opportunity to enjoy viewing a wide variety of vehicles.
Due to popular request, the group will be welcoming exhibitors and the general public for its annual “Down on Main Street” in early August. This will put it a week ahead of the “Woodward Dream Cruise.”
The organizers anticipate at least 400 entries on display, and the public can meet the owners and learn more about their pride and joy. Those who enjoy time out on the water can head to the boat section, and campers, motorcycles, and bicycles will add even more fun. The show will be set up along a half mile stretch of Main Street, and admissions will be free for the spectators. Local shops and eateries will be open for the crowd to drop by and show them some love.
While the event will be all about fun, it will also raise money for charities, including one that trains guide dogs to assist the visually impaired. A poster printing company can create display materials for an activity that show how the proceeds will make a difference.
The 2025 “Down on Main Street" Charity Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, August 9. Its website includes registration links as well as sponsor information and application Forms.
