Clawson vets in focus at upcoming car show

Clawson veterans are invited to be among the crowd at an upcoming car show, and they will be able to enjoy the day whether they wish to show a vehicle or simply admire the ones on display.

Late September will see VFW Post 1146 in St. Clair Shores welcome a car show planned with former service members in mind. The registration kiosk will open half an hour before its official start time, and trophies and other awards will be presented.

The exhibitors will be vying for prizes in a variety of classes, and there will be special awards presented to veterans as well as memorials. The entertainment for the occasion will be supplied by Rockin’ Ronnie, and box raffles and even split draws will see some of those who come out go home with a prize. The concession area will be manned by vets, and everyone is encouraged to stop by and support the celebration.

Car shows offer a variety of ways for a city's corporate community to get involved. They can sponsor an activity in a variety of ways, and the marketing materials prepared by a poster printing company may include an acknowledgement of their generosity.

The USMA/Vietnam veterans #154 Car Shore is scheduled for September 25 in St. Clair shores. The registration area will open at 7:30 am.
