For over a decade, Clawson has hosted a summer movie series that is screened out of doors, and 2024 is set to welcome its return.
The community will see the return of Cinema in the Street, which will be held in its downtown core. The lineup of flicks that will be shown is still under construction, but in previous years, they were all family-friendly favorites.
While the movie may be the big draw for some, there will be lots of other fun to be had as well. Corn hole, street art and other activities are on the agenda, and these will run from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Everyone is reminded to bring along a blanket or some portable seating so they can be comfortable, and they will be able to purchase snacks and other refreshments from one of the local merchants before they get settled in for the show.
Outdoor movie nights are often popular during the summer months in communities all across the country. Organizers can count on the graphic design department at local Print shops to provide them with custom prepared marketing materials.
Clawson’s Cinema on the Street initiative will make its return to the community's downtown on July 13th. Anyone who has questions or who would like to submit a movie selection suggestion is asked to email ddadirector@cityofclawson.com.
