Clawson to craft feeders for feisty fliers

Hummingbirds are often welcome visitors in Clawson gardens, and a workshop will craft feeders for these plucky little birds.

A crafting session that will see participants use some simple materials to prepare a hummingbird feeder will be held at the DNR Adventure Center in Detroit. The ticket price for the activity is $27, and all they need to bring is an empty wine bottle.

The participant will learn how to convert their empty wine bottle into a hummingbird feeder, and while they work, they will learn more about these tiny birds. Snacks and other refreshments will be supplied. The attendees, who must be 21 or older, will also find out how to prepare food to use in their new feeders, and the organizers has asked anyone who would like to take part to sign up ahead of time, as a minimum number of participants is required to Print the program.

Many people would like to lend Mother Nature a helping hand, and workshops can teach them how they can do so. Such activities are often included in community guides prepared by Print shops that offer catalog binding and other specialized printing services.

This class, which will teach members of the public how to be a good friend to the hummingbirds in their garden, will be held on March 18. It will start at 6:30 pm.
