Clawson sets schedule for summer pop-up markets

A lazy summer Sunday can be ideal for browsing through a pop-up outdoor market, and Clawson residents will be able to enjoy this experience.

Starting this month, the city will be hosting its Sunday Summer Park Market, and these activities will be a combination of a flea, makers’, and farmers’ market, all rolled into one. They will all take place at Clawson City Park, and each will be open for four hours.

The markets will be on offer on several Sundays during late spring and summer, and many will have a special additional activity scheduled. The series will kick off with music supplied by Maggie McCabe as well as a petting zoo, and the other dates will include everything from a touch-a-truck day to inflatables, a magic show, Zumba, balloon art, and yoga. A food truck will be rolling in, and anyone who would like to add their name to the vendor list can contact pennycplr@aol.com to discuss the opportunities available.

Markets and other public events give small businesses the chance to meet potential customers face to face. Order Forms, price lists, and other marketing materials will be available at area printing services companies.

Clawson Summer Sunday Park Market will be popping up on Sunday, May 19, and its final date is set for August 25. Additional details have been added to its website.
