The Bloom Project and the Environmental Citizens Committee have joined forces to bring a plant sale to the Clawson area, and the whole family is welcome to stop by.
The organizations have paired up to help make it easier for local gardeners to install native species. Three different sizes of perennials will be on offer, and the shoppers can choose the ones that best suit their needs.
As the species on offer will be native to the area, they will be adapted to cope with the local climate, pests, and plant diseases. Anyone who would like to get growing but does not have a lot of time may find the premade kits to be of interest, and there will be information tables set up for the kids and adults alike to explore. A visit from the free seed library is on the agenda, and both cash and credit cards will be accepted.
To raise both money and awareness about the value of choosing native plants, the organizers of the day will have T-Shirts on offer. These will be printed with a unique graphic design.
The Spring Native Plant Sale will be open to Clawson gardeners on May 29, and its hours run from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will be on offer at 360 West 13 Mile Road.
