Kids battling cancer often have a tough road ahead, and a Clawson fundraiser will show them the whole community stands behind them.
The Gilda Goes Bald for Kids with Cancer activity has been planned for next month, and it promises to be a fun event for those who take part, as well as those who come out to watch and cheer them on. Any help given will be appreciated, and the proceeds will be donated to St. Baldrick’s childhood cancer research.
Anyone who would like to lend a hand can make a donation or, if they want to go all the way, they can have their head shaved.
A goal of raising $5,000 has been set for the activity, and the function is being facilitated by Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, which is a nonprofit organization that works to both find a cure for cancer, and support those living with the disease.
A community-based fundraiser can be effective, as much of the monies raised will go directly to the cause. Print shops can help keep administration costs down, and they will be able to provide everything from Business Cards to custom certificates of appreciation for anyone who takes part.
Gilda’s Goes Bald will be shaving heads in support of kids with cancer on December 3rd. The location can be found at Whiskey Taco Foxtrot, 28 South Main Street.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Print
