Clawson area prepares for weekend of summer fun

A weekend of family fun will help the Clawson area get summer off to a rolling start, and the whole region is welcome to help make the event one to remember.

Lawrence Avenue in Center Line will be transformed into a huge outdoor festival. There will be special activities just for the kids, and while they are enjoying themselves, their parents can relax at the beer tent and meet others from their home community.

The schedule for the weekend includes activities ranging from trackless train rides and a petting zoo, to a softball tournament and inflatables. On Saturday, helicopter rides will offer a bird's eye view of all the fun, and a variety show and dog show are in the works as well. Food trucks will offer a selection of festival-style fare, while anyone who would like to put their agility to the test will be able to try out the mechanical bull.

This sort of function will gives communities a long overdue reason to get together and celebrate. A banner printing company will be able to supply an assortment of services for the occasion, including preparing signage and decor, and these will aid in building an exciting atmosphere.

The Center Line Independence Festival will be bringing the fun to the Clawson area from June 4 to June 6. Its Stay Happening listing provides more details.
