An event has been organized by the staff and volunteers at Cranbrook House and Gardens to bring a touch of summer to the cold days of February.
For three days, the gardens and conservatory will be hosting a pop-up plant market. It will be an opportunity for Clawson residents to score some new green additions for their home in a verdant environment.
This in-person activity will be filled with both common and unusual species, and there will be choice for the newbie and expert alike. Planters, dish gardens, succulents, cacti and many other options will all be in the mix. The types on offer may vary, and they will be available for as long as supplies last. It was noted that members of the venue will be given the first chance to shop at the sale.
Pop-up markets give the public a chance to support local businesses and not-for-profit groups. Signage for these activities can be obtained from area banner printing companies, which will have both single-use and reusable styles on offer.
Cranbrook House and Gardens can be found at 380 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Hills. The public plant sale will be held on February 11 and 12, while the members only advance event will take place on February 10. Masks are mandatory for all indoor parts of the event.
