Clawson area fair to offer information on lead

Lead was once a common ingredient in everything from gasoline to paint, but a Clawson area event will help the public to become more aware of the hazards we now know it can present.

Warren has scheduled a Lead Awareness Fair for the Owen Jax Community Center, and while it is open to all, it may be of special interest to families with young kids and expectant mothers. Free to attend, it will provide an opportunity to learn and gather information about this metallic element.

During the fair, attendees can learn about the danger of lead and what they can do to protect themselves and their children. There will be an assortment of displays, and some will explore the financial initiatives on offer to help meet the expense of removing lead from a home. Anyone who would like to attend the function can stop any time during its four-and-a-half-hour runtime, and the planners can be contacted by calling 586-574-4686.

Community fairs offer a way for the public to gather a lot of information in a small amount of time. Brochure printing options for almost any event can be obtained by reaching out to a local Print services professional.

This grassroots-level function will take place on Thursday, August 24. It will be running from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm.
