Gardeners often spend their winters dreaming about new additions to their paintings, and a Clawson area event may help to make their dreams come true.
The annual Michigan Native Plants Sale is currently underway, and the proceeds will benefit the Master Gardeners of Oakland County program. The function is being held as part of the venue’s larger Open Barn day.
The school farm will be selling a large assortment of native plants, all of which have been chosen because they do well in the local area. They also offer disease and pest resistance as well as ease of care, and there will be personnel on hand to help the shoppers choose which perennials and grasses may be best for them. Those who want to make sure they get first pick of the species on offer can shop online, and their order will be ready for collection during the sale.
