Clawson’s beer lovers often enjoy trying out new brews, but they usually have to leave Fido at home when they do. Barktoberfest will turn that on its head, and all local adults are welcome to bring their own dog to the festivities
This celebration of craft beer, dogs, and the people who love them has been scheduled for Royal Oak’s Memorial Park, and there will be plenty of activities for both the two- and four-legged set to enjoy. Local bands will supply the entertainment, and with a selection of food trucks rolling in for the day, the event looks set to be fun and foodie-friendly.
While the human guests enjoy their beer, the dogs can refresh themselves at the water bowls that will be set up for their use. A vendor area will offer lots of animal themed choices, and a costume contest and wiener dog races will bring some extra high-energy excitement to the occasion.
Admission to this community celebration is $5, and a portion of the monies will be donated to local charities that help animals. There are a variety of ways that area businesses can get involved in this sort of activity, and their Logo Design can then be included in the marketing materials used to promote the occasion in the local area.
Barktoberfest has been scheduled for September 12 and 13, and it promises to be a whole lot of fun for humans and dogs. More details can be found on its Facebook page.
