An event will be helping the Clawson area get in the mood for Halloween, and while they enjoy the festivities, the attendees will be taking aim at domestic violence.
The A Starrs Initiative is a 501(c)(3) status organization that helps those fleeing domestic violence and also offers prevention programs, and it will be the beneficiary of the Hogwarts Halloween Fundraiser. Early bird tickets will be available until October 1, after which the price will increase. Donations will also be welcome, and they are tax deductible.
Guests at the activity will be able to take part in the games set up for the day, and face painters will be on hand. A vendor area will boast an assortment of small businesses, and raffles will take place. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and the kids will be able to go home with lots of free candy.
