A location of Chipotle Mexican Grill will be opening in Saco this winter, along with a new Jersey Mikes.
These will be at the intersection of Smith Lane and Main Street in an area which was once deemed “hamburger alley” in Saco. This property was also once the home of a Pizza Hut and the building had been empty for over a year. The building was demolished to make way for the new Chipotle.
Sally Evans, a spokesperson for the company, said that a new location of Chipotle is planned for Saco. The eatery is a fast casual restaurant which offers a selection of bowls, salads, tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. It will have spaces for people to eat indoors as well as a digital drive-thru lane. Banner printing is often used at such sites to inform residents and those in the area of such upcoming developments.
Chipotle prides itself on being one of the first national brands of restaurants to commit to using organic and local produce, and only uses meat that complies with some of the highest standards of animal welfare. The chain also believes in supporting people who share its values and offers benefits such as culinary training, assistance with education, paid time off, career opportunities, and crew bonuses
It is expected that 25 new positions will be hired for the location.
