Saco library and museum to host holiday festivities

The Festival of Trees will take place for the 18th year at the Saco Museum starting later this month. This is now one of the most popular events of the season in southern Maine.

Trees will be on display, from which people can vote for their favorite. There will also be raffle tickets for sale and silent auctions for items on display on the Artist Tree. Raffle tickets are $5 for three tickets and among the prizes are Gift Certificates, local services and crafts, and dinners. Such special and traditional events are often promoted throughout the region with poster printing.

The Festival of Trees is free to the public and opens on Friday, November 25, running through Thursday, December 29. Winners of the raffles will be drawn at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 15.

There are other events coming up at the Museum and the Dyer Library during December. Another free event will be Children’s Craft Day on Saturday, December 3 from 9:30 am to noon.

There will be two seating times for Tea with Mrs. Claus on Saturday, December 10. One will be at noon and the other at 1:30 pm. Reservations are needed for this event. Santa Claus will be at the museum the next day from 12:30 until 3:00 pm.
