Saco drive-in to open this month
Drive-in movie theaters in Bridgton, Bangor, and Farmington, are now opened while those in Westbrook and Saco will be opening in the next few days.
Scott Warren, general manager of the Bangor Drive-In, said that he and his crew are doing everything to safeguard the health and safety of their patrons. Tickets can be purchased at the gate and online in advance. Sheets, which may be printed by local print shops, will be handed out to guests on their arrival with more information about concessions, the use of the bathroom, and other services at the theater.
The Saco Drive-In will be running only one film per evening at a cost of $15 per vehicle. As always, parking will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The first three rows will be for vehicles that are shorter in height, with the remaining rows for taller vehicles. Those who want to open their hatchbacks in order to see the film are asked to park starting in the seventh row. The theater will have enough space for 250 vehicles.
Concession stands will also be opened with a limited menu. Patrons can pick up their items or have them delivered to their vehicles.
The opening film for the season will be “Onward” and will run from Friday May 22 through Sunday May 24. Gates will open at 7:00 p.m. and the show will start at approximately 8:40 p.m.
