Holiday trees displayed at museum in Saco

The Festival of Trees is currently underway at the Saco Museum.

This is the 17th year of the event and the theme for this year is “A Little Holiday Music” to celebrate the sounds of the season. There is an array of trees with bright decorations, ranging between four and seven feet tall and brimming with color. There are also collections of wreaths and gingerbread houses created by children.

The festival is made possible by its many sponsors. Both individuals and businesses sponsor the trees and wreaths, as well as other events associated with the festival. This helps to make this event a significant fundraiser in supporting the programming efforts of the museum. Banner printing can be used at such events to display the names of sponsors and help with fundraising efforts.

There will be a visit with Santa Claus this Sunday, December 12 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. The museum is also holding a raffle for many items, including lift tickets for Sunday River. Winners of the raffle will be drawn on Thursday, December 16 at 4:00 pm.

Hours for the Festival of Trees are noon to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday; noon to 8:00 pm on Friday; and 10:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday. There is no charge for admission and the festival ends on Wednesday, December 29.
