Maine Preservation will be holding its annual fundraising gala next month at The Portland Club, which is in the Hunnewell Shepley mansion designed by Alexander Parris in 1985. Residents of Saco will surely want to attend this special evening.
The event will be celebrating Maine’s bicentennial with a theme of looking at the state’s past and future. Featured will be gourmet savory and sweet bites by Black Tie Catering and complimentary beer, wine, and preservation punch. Soft music will be played in the background gearing up late in the evening for dancing, along with a live and silent auction of art and unique experiences. The gala is designed to enable attendees to celebrate preservation, Maine’s statehood, and visit with friends and supporters.
Among the sponsors of this year’s event are Papi and Romano Builders, Dave Clough Photography, and the Guimond Group. Lead event sponsors include Bath Savings, the Knickerbocker Group, and Morong Falmouth. Such businesses and organizations might want to sponsor many types of Promotional Products to make such an event known throughout the local area.
Founded in 1972, Maine Preservation is a statewide nonprofit historic preservation organization that preserves and promotes historic buildings, neighborhoods, downtown areas, and places to strengthen the cultural and economic vitality of Maine communities.
The gala will be held on Thursday, March 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $100 per person.
