Community cleaning event spruces up Frederick
A cleaning event is sweeping the community in Frederick, with area residents preparing to gather their brooms and meet downtown for community service.
The Bring A Broom Saturday 2025 event is around the corner, with check-in to participate and contribute starting in a few weeks. The event will be a volunteer cleanup of the downtown region in Frederick, which is being organized by the Downtown Frederick Partnership, a group that works to promote and enhance the town.
The cleaning session is being sponsored by Middletown Valley Bank, the City of Frederick, and Oldetowne Landscape Architects. Participants will volunteer a few hours of their time to sweep the sidewalks and streets of downtown, and friends and family are encouraged to attend for a fun atmosphere. All ages of volunteers are welcome to register and lend a hand. Flyer printing is an effective grassroots method to promote such events around the community.
Registered guests will want to bring a broom from home, along with a dustpan, work gloves, trash bags, light gardening tools, and a water bottle. The cleaning session will be followed by a complimentary lunch, and participants must register for the lunch in advance.
The check-in for the cleaning session will start at the Downtown Frederick Partnership at 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 26th. Registration is free, and interested parties can RSVP online.
