Frederick residents set to learn soap-making skills

Frederick residents with a love of crafting and DIY activities are in for a treat next month, as a local business is organizing a seasonal soap-making workshop.

The Soap-Making Workshop: Goat's Milk Melt & Pour Soap is set to welcome guests and interested parties for a hands-on learning experience where they will create three melt and pour soaps to take home or gift to friends and family. Organizers are hoping to provide a fun and welcoming environment where students can work with their hands and discover a new hobby.

The workshop will be led by Allie and Alivia, the daughters of the owner of LiveYoung Candle Company. The daughter duo will provide step-by-step guidance to students who enroll in the class while explaining the reasons behind the chosen ingredients and fragrances for the soap. Flyer printing is a superb way to spread the word about community events using grassroots marketing techniques.

Students will get the chance to tap into their creative side and leave the workshop with three completed soap bars to enjoy. Students are welcome to bring their own beverages and snacks from home, and no prior experience is required.

LiveYoung Candle Company, located in downtown Frederick, will host the workshop. It is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, at 4:00 PM, and lasts around 90 minutes. Tickets can be reserved online for $40 per student.
